Gday! My name is Mitch, my wife’s name is Mel and we have 3 kids, Charli (10), Levi (8) and Milli (5).
We love travelling and seeing Australia, and are starting to plan our ‘BIG LAP’.
I’m a Paramedic with NSW Ambulance and currently the Station Officer at Lightning Ridge Ambulance. I’ve been in the job for nearly 8 years and I’ve started the blog as a bit of a release from the stresses at work.
My wife and I both grew up on the Mid North Coast of NSW, Australia. I was at Kempsey and Mel at Bowraville. We met in Nambucca Heads when we were both working at Woolworths. Anyway, a few years later we have 3 beautiful children and loving life.
We have lived in Nambucca Heads, Kempsey, Sydney, Balranald, Wentworth and now Lightning Ridge, so we have travelled just about all through NSW. Whilst in Balranald we were only a few hours (Now when I say few that means 5 or 6 hours) from Melbourne, so we have been travelling a bit down in North Western Victoria. During our time in Wentworth, we travelled through North Eastern South Australia down to Adelaide.
Mel’s mum lives in Cairns and have also done a little travelling up there. We’ve been through the Flinders on our way to Ayers Rocks on the Lightning Ridge Police Bush Safari .
In 2015 we headed north to Kakadu, Litchfield, and Darwin in the Northern Territory. On our way home we travelled through outback Queensland to Birdsville and was there for the 2015 Big Red Bash. The below photo is a rough guide of where we have traveled so far.
